Ramsey House

Candlelight Tours at Ramsey House

Once a year we decorate our home with natural greens, colorful fresh fruits and nuts in the manner that it would have been decorated in 1797 by the Ramsey family. We fill the home with candles and open our doors to the public for a tour. The Visitor’s Center will offer holiday treats, the sweet sounds of a children’s chorus, and Santa Claus ready to hear the wishes of the children that have been very good all year.

This is a free event and the public is invited. Donations are always appreciated to help support educational programming.

Holiday Wreath Workshop at Ramsey House

Join us at Historic Ramsey House for our wonderful annual wreath workshop. This is one that many people make a traditional part of their holiday season. Make it a family affair, a friend’s day, or just come and enjoy the benefits of a gorgeous natural greens wreath on your own.  Our very special head wreath maker, Julia, and her wreath helpers provide all the fixings as well as holiday treats. You need to bring a small pair of had held garden shears and garden gloves. Social hour begins at 12:30 with the class starting at 1pm. The class is $35 per person and reservations are required.  Click Here for Tickets.

Christmas Dinner with the Ramseys

Francis and Peggy Ramsey invite you to tour their beautifully decorated (1797) home by candlelight and be seated at their dining room table for a warm and relaxing evening complete with complimentary wine. This is a very special annual event where we invite guests to enjoy a specially prepared dinner as would have been enjoyed during the holidays in 1800.

Each of the two rooms accommodates up to 10 people. This is a great way of celebrating with family, friends, co-workers or as an individual that wants to enjoy the ambiance of a holiday dinner in a historic home. This is a very unique opportunity for those that would like a look back in time to holidays past. Event starts at 6pm.

Cost of this benefit is $125 per person. All proceeds from your generous tax deductible donation go towards the development of classes and workshops at the Historic Ramsey House.
