Candlelight Tours at Ramsey House

Once a year we decorate our home with natural greens, colorful fresh fruits and nuts in the manner that it would have been decorated in 1797 by the Ramsey family. We fill the home with candles and open our doors to the public for a tour. The Visitor’s Center will offer holiday treats, the sweet sounds of a children’s chorus, and Santa Claus ready to hear the wishes of the children that have been very good all year.

This is a free event and the public is invited. Donations are always appreciated to help support educational programming.

Westwood Holiday Open House

Join us at Historic Westwood for tours and holiday refreshments; enjoy Westwood decked out for the holidays!  Visit with Santa, enjoy refreshments, and listen to popular holiday music.  Tours will be from 1pm until 5pm. Free and open to the public.

Open Hearth Cooking Workshop

This hands-on workshop will help you get ready for the holidays with the preparation of a Tiny Purse fruit popover. Copies of the recipes and cooking instructions will be provided.

Space is limited to 10 guests so make your reservations early. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, November 29th.  The fee is $20 per person and $10 for GJSMA members. Parking is free. To register for the workshop or to find out more information, email info@marblesprings.net or call (865) 573-5508.  All activities take place at the Marble Springs State Historic Site at 1220 W.
