Historic Holidays Knoxville

Holiday Wreath Workshop at Ramsey House

Join us at Historic Ramsey House for our wonderful annual wreath workshop. This is one that many people make a traditional part of their holiday season. Make it a family affair, a friend’s day, or just come and enjoy the benefits of a gorgeous natural greens wreath on your own.  Our very special head wreath maker, Julia, and her wreath helpers provide all the fixings as well as holiday treats. You need to bring a small pair of had held garden shears and garden gloves. Social hour begins at 12:30 with the class starting at 1pm. The class is $35 per person and reservations are required.  Click Here for Tickets.

Candlelight Tours at Ramsey House

Once a year we decorate the beautiful Ramsey House with natural greens, colorful fresh fruits and nuts in the manner that it would have been decorated in 1797 by the Ramsey family. We fill the home with candles and open our doors to the public for a tour. The Visitor’s Center will offer holiday treats, the sweet sounds of children’s chorus, and Santa Claus ready to hear the wishes of the children that have been very good all year.

This is a free event and the public is invited. Donations are always appreciated to help support educational programming.
