PastPort Launch Party

HHMK PastPortExplore Knoxville’s history with this key to the past!

Join us for the PastPort Launch Party on March 28, 2023 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the East Tennessee History Center.

PastPorts will be offered at a discounted $35 only at this event! That’s less than half of the cost to see all the house museums and the Museum of East Tennessee History individually!

The Historic House Museums of Knoxville (HHMK) and the East Tennessee Historical Society (ETHS) are proud to introduce the PastPort: Your Key to the History of Knoxville, Tennessee. The PastPort gives purchasers admission for a regular tour at the current seven members of HHMK as well as the Museum of East Tennessee History. Great for Knoxville staycationers and tourists, your journey through Knoxville’s past takes you from the late 18th century frontier of the Southwest Territory and the founding of Tennessee, through the Antebellum and Civil War eras, into the Gilded Age of the late 19th century, and beyond.

Proceeds from each PastPort go directly to the Historic House Museums of Knoxville. PastPorts can be purchased at any of the following locations: James White’s Fort, Blount Mansion, Marble Springs, Historic Ramsey House, Mabry-Hazen House, Westwood, Museum of East Tennessee History, and Visit Knoxville.

ABOUT HHMK

From a rough frontier settlement to a grand state capital to the attractive city you see today, the history of Knoxville is a vivid tale of the trials and triumphs of a growing town and a growing nation. It’s a wild and often surprising tale marvelously told by the city’s most historic homes. From log cabins to frame houses to stately stone mansions, these seven Knoxville landmarks invite you into the past to experience the times and events that shaped them and the families who occupied them. Each is a chapter of history unto itself. And yet, together, they exemplify and celebrate the continuing pioneering spirit that created Knoxville and our great nation.

ABOUT ETHS

The East Tennessee Historical Society is one of the most active private historical organizations in the state. We specialize in finding creative ways to introduce the public to the fascinating world of history. Recognizing that East Tennessee’s history, heritage, and geography are distinct from the rest of the state, the East Tennessee Historical Society provides services and programs uniquely tailored to the region. ETHS partners with and promotes the history and events of organizations and sites across our 35 counties. We have 45 affiliate chapters across the region.
