Blount Mansion Christmas Open House

Come to Blount Mansion Friday December 1st from 5 to 8 P.M. for Blount Mansion’s Merry and Bright Christmas Open House. This totally free event is open to the public and family friendly. Come and take a candlelight tour of the Blount Mansion decked out in her traditional Christmas finery. The period correct decorations are generously provided and lovingly done by the Knoxville Garden Club as they have done for over 50 years. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided along with plenty of Christmas cheer! Don’t miss it!

Christmas Dinner at Blount Mansion

Eat, drink, and be merry at this festive Christmas dinner at Blount Mansion!  Cocktails will be served by 6 p.m. and a scrumptious dinner by Northshore Brasserie will follow.  Enjoy an exclusive preview of decorations by the Knoxville Garden Club.

Tickets are $200 per person.  All proceeds benefit historic preservation and educational activities at Blount Mansion.

Mysterious Past of Blount Mansion

It’s that time of the year! Ghosts, goblins, witches, haints, and The Mysterious Past of Blount Mansion.

Our annual Halloween event will be bigger and better than ever this year. There will be ghost stories, scary legends, history about death and dying in the 18th and 19th centuries, and more! There will be candy for the kids and some extra special fun with our other house on-site ,the Craighead-Jackson House, one of the most haunted sites in Knoxville!

We will have three tours starting at 8, 9, and 10 o’clock P.M. on Saturday October 28th.

On Monday October 30th and Tuesday October 31st we will have tours at 8 and 9 o’clock P.M.

Tickets can be purchased before the event at our Square site.  Just use the link below and select which tour you would like to go on. Tours will fill up fast so reserve your tickets today.

A Silhouette for Dad

Come to Blount Mansion on Saturday June 17th to make a great gift for Dad for Father’s Day! We will be making silhouettes that can be framed and will be a unique keepsake he will love. Or bring your Dad and you can make one of him! For only $5 per silhouette how can you beat that? While you are here you just might learn something about the late 18th century and the people who lived then.

We ask that you RSVP by Friday June 16th by phone, email, or on Facebook just so we know how many to expect for this fun occasion. Or, you can buy your tickets today on our Square site. Everyone is welcome!

Statehood Day at Blount Mansion

June 1, 2017 marks the 221st anniversary of Tennessee’s admission as the 16th state in the union. Construction on Blount Mansion began in 1792. The restored mansion was open for tours in 1930, making it the oldest museum in Knox County. Commemorate the creation of the state of Tennessee and celebrate the pioneers who settled and transformed the southwest territory into the vibrant state of Tennessee with a free visit to Blount Mansion!

Blount Mansion’s Statehood Celebration

Celebrating the pioneers who settled and transformed the southwest territory into the vibrant state of Tennessee, the Blount Mansion Association will be hosting its annual Statehood Day celebration in the Blount Mansion garden, which has been maintained by the Knoxville Garden Club for 81 years. Enjoy a cocktail supper, live music, and a silent auction.  Reservations are $100 per person and all proceeds benefit historic preservation at Blount Mansion.

Molsey’s Mothers Day Flower Pot

Come to Blount Mansion on Saturday, May 13th to make a beautiful gift for Mom for Mother’s Day. We’ll be painting flower pots and potting up flowers to brighten Mom’s day! Cost is $5 per child.

Spring First Look at the Blount Mansion Gardens

Come to Blount Mansion and take a stroll through the most beautiful garden in downtown Knoxville. Designed by Alden Hopkins and Donald Parker, and lovingly cared for by the Knoxville Garden Club for the last 81 years, our Colonial Revival gardens will be in full bloom and ready for visitors!
Light refreshments will be served and staff will be on hand to answer questions about the house, the gardens, and the history of Knoxville.  Free to the Public!
