Seeking Eden: An Exploration of Garden History at Blount Mansion

May 11 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm

$25.00

Please join us on Saturday morning, May 11, 2019, for a special event highlighting the beautiful gardens at Blount Mansion. At 10:30 a.m., Staci Catron, Director of the Cherokee Garden Library at Atlanta History Center, will give a presentation about her new book, “Seeking Eden: A collection of Georgia’s Historic Gardens.” Afterwards, we will enjoy a box lunch followed by a tour of Blount Mansion and Craighead-Jackson gardens.
Catron was acquainted with Edith Henderson, the pioneering female landscape architect who designed the garden behind the Craighead-Jackson House, and curates Henderson’s papers. The presentation will include information about Henderson’s work here.
